Armed forces, fixed sites and mobile protection

HyperJet protects military positions, fixed sites and moving assets against small drones. The same mechanism works against some other small moving targets.

Beyond the battlefield

The missing layer

Military air defence already exists. Outside the military, protection against small drones is largely missing.

Years of FPV attack videos have changed how the public perceives drones. The concern has spread from armed forces to operators of infrastructure, transport systems, industrial facilities and public venues, to private security services and to owners of high-value assets. Many of them have no practical hard-kill option today.

This opens a large market between passive detection and military air defence. Measured by the number of assets that need protection, it may become larger than the military market.

Drones need defence

Drones are now used in logistics, inspection, agriculture, media production, infrastructure management and emergency response, and their misuse is increasingly visible. Without practical defence that can be deployed widely, the likely response is restrictions and bans. Defence allows society to keep accepting drones and the drone economy to grow.

  • Armed forces

A close-in layer of air defence against FPVs and swarms, at fixed positions and on vehicles. Fire can be sustained against many targets and opened when a target cannot yet be identified with certainty.

  • Fixed sites

Airports, critical infrastructure, energy and industrial facilities, telecom sites and ports. Offices, stadiums, film sets, estates, resorts and golf courses.

These sites need physical protection against drones in places where military air-defence systems cannot be used. A shot is quieter than a hand clap and leaves only water-based fluid.

  • Mobile protection

VIP protection, political events, public appearances and temporary venues. Convoys, cargo transport, trains, vessels underway and yachts.

Here the protection moves with the person, vehicle or vessel. HyperJet can also be mounted on robotic platforms or carried as a payload by hunter drones.

  • Beyond drones

Ornithological services can drive birds and invasive species away from telecom equipment, roofs and other sensitive sites. The system does this automatically, at the intensity the service sets, without lead shot. The same applies in parks, nature reserves and zoos.

Other targets include robodogs, free-fall munitions and selected ground threats.

  • Integrators

C-UAS manufacturers can add HyperJet to their systems as a hard-kill module, cued by third-party detection and command-and-control systems. Integration is described on the network page.
